so long ago 12months have past

Well I thought I set this blog up in September last year ..
Well what have I been up to ... not alot work, drinking, falling over mostly

Until 2012
January past without anything really happing.

February.I met a we lass from Dewsbury called Maria she's very nice and has a child called Gem ...
March well what o they say about march mad as a march hare.
Well this is when the year starts to go down hill for 10 weeks

I was knocking down a greenhouse with my dad. which it was going well. Until I got hold of the Sledgehammer .
I was merrily swing the hammer breaking up the concert base. when I got a shock up my right thumb and index finger. Thought not of it. A couple of days later I was burning the greenhouse and shed wood in the garden. When my neck started to hurt. Just thought I had a trapped nerve. Hot water bottles and tablets normally sorts  it... NOT THIS TIME. Whilst laying in bed on a cold Sunday morning. I had a spasm in my right arm so bad that it nearly brought tears to my eyes. I got up went down stairs to pop the kettle on. Then I tried to lift the kettle. But nope I could not move my right arm .. dead as the dodo.. Monday made an appointment to see the doctors.

Went to see the doctor on the Tuesday and She said don't worry. take these meds and come back in a weeks time. I went to the Girlfriends and Maria said I should really go the A&E. I said don't worry It will be ok..
Started taking the diazepam, codeine, Ibuprofen and paracetamol. whoo never again I slept for 16 hours  on diazepam.. I made another appointment at the doctors and went.. The doctor told me to go to A7E and see a shoulder specialist ... Ok I went expecting to be there a couple of hours... hmm that was when the farce begain.
so here goes
TUESDAY 3rd April A&E
10.00am first doctor said I needed an MRI scan he thought I had a stroke
second doctor thought I had trapped a nerve or nerves
2pm had an MRI scan that was like been in a smartie tube
3pm - A&E doctor said the report will be ready at 6pm and you can wait in the side ward. OK I said
7pm The doctor said they could not find and damage to the nerves or to the brain so I have not had a stroke I said I told you that.
BUT I want to keep you in for a electrical tests to your nerves which will be tomorrow now. I said ok
23.30 A&E nurse said we are trying to find a bed for you

WEDNESDAY 4th April - Its Snowing
Bed found at 01.30 moved to Ward 5c hmmm fell a sleep
Got woke up at 5.30am for my blood pressure and heart monitoring they still think I have had a stroke..
any way nothing happened no electrical tests or consultant
there were three of us on the ward. One gentleman was sent home

THURSDAY 5th April
again woke at 6am for blood pressure and meds
I went for my electrical tests and was told to wait for my consultant to turn up and see what she had to say
7pm asked the nurse if the consultant would turn up today. the nurse said no shes gone home and will not be back at work until Tuesday. been Easter the hospital shuts down
The Girlfriend came to see me.. Maria was upset I said don't worry
We got a new inmate he seemed ok until after dark..
All i can say is lights on lights off all night and random shouts out...

FRIDAY 6th April - Good Friday
again woke at 6am only a couple of hours sleep
The gentleman who came in and was up all night was sent to Huddersfield for more tests and a bed..
Great back to me and Steve.. oh yeah Steve came in with a chest infection he was badly. but a great fella
we got a new inmate a gent how was a retired skipper. he had parkinsons .. he fell over at home ... really nice chap.
We had a new inmate join us in our cell he was called Les.. very sick man
The nurses asked if me and Steve would like a curry after everybody went to bed. We had a curry from Ziggys ... it was one of the best meals I had in hospital .....

SATURDAY 7th April
again woke at 6am only a couple of hours sleep. due to all the people walking up and down all night shouting for the cats, dogs and wifes...
nothing to report apart from the food order was wrong and the food was crap
The skipper went home but it was a farce he was told he could go home at 13.00 he was still there at 19.00. because no body would signing off ... his daughter took him home and signed him out
Again the nurses asked if me and steve would like a Chinese meal after everybody has gone to bed

During the night I had a fella pee over my bed ... walking into the ward room thought it was the bathroom and peed over my bed. nice

SUNDAY 8th April - Happy Easter unless your in hospital
again woke at 6am only a couple of hours sleep for blood pressure and meds
Eat my easter egg
nothing happened

MONDAY 9th April
again woke at 6am only a couple of hours sleep for blood pressure and meds
Les became better and we talked for ages about were he lived and his history he was 87years old great chap
again nothing happened because its bank holiday
We did not get anything to eat because the staff did not put our orders in..
so we got the left overs ... great ... more Easter eggs eatten

TUESDAY 10th April
again woke at 6am only a couple of hours sleep for meds and blood pressure
Back to normal
Should be seen the consultant today ..
They came and taken my blood sample because I have been in a week ... they took the blood from my good arm.. hmm that was not good .. the Vampire hurt my left bicept muscle

again no consultant

WEDNESDAY 11th April
The doctor of the ward came and said to me .. what are you still doing on here. I said waiting to see the consultant and physio ...
He said he would chase them up and I should see the physio today.
Steve was sent home today he was well .

Nope nothing again

THURSDAY 12th April
again woke at 6am only a couple of hours sleep meds and blood pressure
Yeah... the consultant came to see me ... and said why am I still here. I said waiting for you.
She said I think you look like you have dislocated your shoulder and I will send you for xrays. I said I have not do that because I would be rolling round the floor in pain. any whoo I went for xrays and they said your consultant will see you this evening ... Yes you guest it no show again
We had a new inmate ... I new him from work as one of the pissheads... he did not know me. phew

FRIDAY 13th April..
The hospital is closing the ward today ... its a winter ward.
I was told I would be going onto another ward.
I said I will not be because this is just a farce
I said to the nurse I would be contacting my ward councillor about this farce.
I rang Keith and told him what went on...
a few hours later the ward doctor came to see me abd said why are you still on her what has the consultant said ... I said nothing she was going to see me last night but never did ... (I found out later she left for another job) I told the doctor I have rung my councillor about the farce..
it was 11am when 2 nerve doctors, consultant from A&E and two other people came to see me. They still had no idea what was wrong with me.
I was told I was going to go home and become pack my stuff up
that afternoon i was free to go home ..

They still have no idea what was wrong with me I went back to my doctors and he said it would take 20 or so weeks to heal it self and I should start physio which I have done ... I have gain movement back and I can lift something's.. its going to be a long time before I will be lifting heavy weights again

All I can say is don't go into hospital if you don't need to ...

Is it over yet!

Ok it Thursday 28th April and the Biggest thing on TV in 2011 will soon be on us the Royal Wedding of William and Kate... Hmm its been two weeks of Royal wedding this Royal wedding that.. I am of that age when we had a Street party for Charles and Di in 1981. Which I was of the age of 6 years old. we weas at our old address down in Charlesworth Grove. With all the family and other children on the street. It was a hot sunny day we had our kitchen table out in the yard full of food and drink. good times was had by all... Now I am at the working age. I will be working tomorrow with no radio, TV or interweb. I do like the royals but the timing could be a little better. The country is on its arse and people can't afford this or can we. I will have a drink for Queen and country next year for the Queenies 60th Jubilee.

Lent.... So far so good

Said to a mate of mine that I would give up drinking beer at home for lent and donate an amount of money to the Street Angels when we have completed it. I have had only had one down day were I could have had a beer or so and I did ... BAD Boy!!! so that more money to the cause.

Tracksuits which have slogans on them..

Tonight on the bus home. I have to say in my mind "THATS WRONG".
Why do...  lets say the larger lady have to wear tracksuits with slogans on them which say Juicy, Gold digger or another sloga. Sorry your big behind does not really suit that slogan on it. Buy a plain tracksuit or wear something else. rant over

Anti Valentine's Day

I hope you all had a good Valentines Day what every you were upto. For me I hate the day its just another day were card companies, florists and confectioners which makes them lots of money on the back of making single people feel lonely and turning romance and love into tacky plastic things. If you love someone so much show them every single day your with them.

Me well thats another V day done and dusted. Let see whats round the corner...

Dull day in Happyfax

Well not a lot goes off in Halifax normally but today all the Shop lifters and dope head were out in force... It must be the sunny weather brings them out of there worm holes. Listening in to the Shoplink radio. A lot of stores got "hit" today by the shoplifters. The shoplifters don't care in what there are doing. But its COST US MORE MONEY to buy goods on the high street. I don't condone the actions of a starving person who steals a loaf of bread to feed themselfs but what I do condone is the professional shoplifter them who steal to order.... With the governments cuts to the police service it will only get worse.....

Tomorrow out with the camara to take a couple of pics of the new build which will be our Cinema which Halifax has not had for at least 15 years...

B&Q and ASDA and bathroom floors

Went to asda in Halifax today. Its so big that it makes me dizzy with all the people and the lighting. I like to do my shopping at high speed and not wonder around like a zombie. I do confess that i do get a little trolly rage... I only went to get a few beers for tonights curry and end up buy blank DVDs, Pens for work seen as we have a pen thief, The new Lynx you now the one which the angels fall out of the sky. Nowing me I will end up with demons raising from the earth and end up hunting me down, and my lotto ticket (finger cross).

Then I went and wasted an hour or so in B & Q. I like wondering round B & Q but Wednesdays are Blue/grey rince day (OAPS 10%off day), they don't wonder around like the Zombies in ASDA. I went for someLED lights for my Bedroom. but they did not have the colour in which I wanted. Nor did the have the gloves I like for work. I have been looking at wallpaper its nearly spring and the staircase and hall needs redecorating. Which I will not do I have a person who will do that for me. B&Q did not have the one I was looking for. Oh well a trip to the Decorating Centre next week.

On a good point the bathroom floor covering has been layed this morning by Magic Carpets.
